Mini Korean Garlic Cream Cheese Buns

We’re opening a Korean Snackmart soon and in line with that I’m making a Korean bread series menu, so I tried baking Korean Garlic Cream Cheese buns. It’s all over FB for sometime now but when I try a recipe it just fails me, the dough, the filling and the topping, it was frustrating because cream cheese is not cheap at all! I didn’t want the sweetness to overwhelm the buns and forget about the garlic butter topping so I had to come up with my own take, according to the balanced taste I was trying to achieve. Now the buns is another story, different recipes use different doughs, this was a challenge for me too! Surprisingly, I just needed to stick to my most trusted dough recipe.

Then ECQ happened, same time last year we we’re on lockdown. All the preparations at the store was put to hault, with the extra time at home I was able to focus on practicing the buns and thought of making them smaller, mini version with less slices to make it more affordable. In 2 weeks time I was able to make and sell over a hundred buns. I learned what kind of flour is best in making the dough, what brand of flour yields and rises more to what brand of cream cheese is easier to cream and make it pipable, how I can achieve the garlic topping coat the bun perfectly while baking, I could go on and on but all I’m saying is, not because you nailed it the first time means you can put it out there for sale, it takes time to research, practice, product test and make different outcomes to create your end product.

I can’t wait to bake and have these available everyday at our store! I hope you support us, JanJe Snack Corner is located at 84 E Rodriguez St. Brgy San Andres Cainta, we’re on the 3rd floor (I know the stairs!) but we promise you we’re worth the sweat LOL! Our store also sells different kinds of snacks like Korean ice cream, noodles, chips and sweet treats. We’ll keep everyone posted when our opening is.

I started baking Ube Cheese Pandsesal at the start of 2020 before pandemic and I’ve tried every ube filling as well as different kinds of cheese out there until I found the right combination to create Cookie Club’s uBae!

Our Ube Cheese Pandesal is rich and soft even on it’s third day in room temp and it’s best to reheat before eating to get that cheese melting in your mouth! Sold per dozen (150php).

Chocolate Chip Cookies

Chocolate Chip cookies will always be a classic treat, it’s timeless and it never gets old. I remember when I started baking back in 2014, with no oven yet, I baked my first ever Chocolate Chip Cookies on a turbo broiler! I still laugh whenever I think about it. Eventually I got a small oven and my baking life changed forever, been baking cookies ever since.

What makes our Chocolate Chip Cookies stand out? Our homemade chocolate chip cookies are handcrafted to get that rich, soft and chewy center. It wouldn’t be a secret if I tell you what makes our cookies special but it would have something to do with the ingredients we use. It took me years to find the right combination of ingredients to develop Cookie Club’s signature Chocolate Chip Cookies.

Our homemade chocolate chip cookies are made to order, we bake them the night before delivery or day itself to make sure we give our customers freshly baked treats. Curious enough how our cookies tastes like? Send us a message to order!
